An Artistic Journey
The Story
Nada Baroudy Kouyoumdjian is a Lebanese modern abstract artist.
Born in 1977 in Beirut, Nada graduated from the Lebanese American University and obtained her BS degree in Interior Design from Regents College, New York. She is currently living in Beirut.
She worked on several projects in Lebanon as a freelancer from 1998 till 2006. Later on, she joined Dar Al Handasah, a leading international multidisciplinary consulting organization in architecture and engineering, from 2007 till 2011. During this period, she worked on major projects such as hotels, hospitals, towers, private villas, and apartments across Lebanon, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and other regions, in collaboration with Perkins & Will, Wilson Associates, and other renowned interior firms.
Despite her successful career, she established her own studio and executed many interior design projects.
In parallel, Nada joined the Emmanuel Guiragossian Art School. Her objective as an artist and designer is to share her passion and strong emotions for painting, which reflect in her artworks. Exposure to varying designs, cultures, and the art world helped develop Nada’s personal style.
Her biggest influences come from her admiration for landscapes, cities, and nature. She employs a mixed-media approach, using acrylics, markers, and pastel oils in almost all of her work.
“Also key to my growth as an artist is my father’s will and support during my early age: he had great passion for art and continuously motivated me to paint, teaching me to never let go of what we love to do.”
